It is a National Authentication System (NAS) that was introduced by the Ministry of Transport & Communication (MOTC) of Qatar. The system provides easy access to a variety of government e-services smoothly, safely, and quickly.

Tawtheeq is a digital identity verification service. This service provides secure authentication in line with best practices in information security. It also provides the best solutions to challenges government entities encounter while developing their digital services, such as the difficulty of verifying the user’s credibility online during electronic transactions and the vulnerability of the identity of digital users to theft or hacking.
Tawtheeq Registration Requirements
- Citizens & Residents- Qatar ID and Qatar Mobile Number
- Visitors & Users Abroad- Email ID and International Mobile Number
You can activate your Qatari mobile number by calling 109 if you are inside Qatar and do not have one. If you are outside Qatar, your account will be automatically created.
How to create an account on Tawtheeq
- Visit the NAS website self-service page.
- Select ‘Register.’
- Choose the ‘Account type.’
- Type in your Qatar ID and mobile number.
- Verify your account by entering the verification code you received via SMS.
- Provide your required details.
- Create a password.
- You will receive a confirmation message before you can use your account.
Tawtheeq Qatar Account suspended? What to do?
- Visit the NAS website self-service page.
- Select ‘Unsuspend Account.’
- Provide your Qatar ID & mobile number.
- Fill in the verification code.
How do I reset my Tawtheeq Qatar password?
- Visit the NAS website self-service page.
- Select ‘Reset Password.’
- Provide your Qatar ID & mobile number.
- Fill in the verification code.
How do I change my mobile number in NAS Qatar Tawtheeq?
- Visit the NAS website self-service page.
- Sign in with your username and password.
- On the top menu, click ‘Mobile Number’.
- Type in your new mobile number.
- Select ‘Continues’ and confirm.
Tawtheeq Qatar Mobile App
Tawtheeq’s mobile app offers secure One-Time Password generation and allows single-tab authentication approval. You can download the app from the App Store or Google Play Store.
When you launch the application for the first time, you will need to log in to your Tawtheeq account and follow the on-screen instructions. If your device is connected to the Internet, you can approve the log-in request or generate the OTP. To identify the user’s device ID & location, the Tawtheeq app requires access to the user’s phone and location.
