During Qatar 2022, the Al Thumama Stadium will host 8 matches including the quarterfinal. The stadium will also be a leading host of the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021, with 6 matches up to and including the semifinals. After Qatar 2022, the stadium’s volume will be decreased to 20,000 and utilized for football and other sporting events, with the stripped sporting base to be offered to developing nations.

Accessible venue
Fans can reach Al Thumama via the Doha Metro and shuttle buses, with Free Zone being the closest metro station on the Red Line. A single ride on the metro is for QAR 2, while a day ticket is for QAR 6. All riders must purchase a reusable travel card for QAR 10.
