6 Fat-burning Foods to help you Trim Down

Lifestyle & Hobby News

Exercise can definitely help you trim down. But as you know, that’s never easy. You’ll need all the help you can get. So add in some healthy (and tasty foods) which can assist you in shedding all those pounds.

Dark chocolate. Nope, losing weight does not mean you’ll be giving up treats. You can still occasionally munch on chocolate—but the ones with a 70 percent or more cacao content. According to research, gut microbes ferment chocolate and boost a fatty acid which encourages the body to burn fat.

Oatmeal. You can eat it as a savory dish, dessert or even add some to your smoothie. Oatmeal can help you trim down because of its high fiber properties and it keeps you full longer.

Berries. The small bundles of joy which include blueberries, blackberries and strawberries has antioxidants which help burn fat and prevent it from forming. It’s a nice alternative when you’re craving for sweets.

Almonds. A study showed that munching on a quarter-cup of almonds for half a year resulted in a 62 percent reduction in weight and BMI. The high fiber, L-arginine and a compound that limits fat absorption makes the small nuts a fat-burning giant.

Apple Cider Vinegar. Acidic foods increase the body’s fat-burning rate by 40 percent. Apple cider vinegar is not as chemically acidic like other vinegars since its more natural, making it a great way to produce fat-burning protein in your body and maintain healthy blood sugar levels.

Greek yoghurt. This healthy snack, which is readily available, has lots of calcium and vitamin D. But the kicker is its protein content: approximately 20 grams in a seven-ounce cup. Based on research, people who ate 18 ounces of this yoghurt daily lost more weight and belly fat than a group who did not. A creamy snack and weight loss, not bad right?
