Why is it important to workout in your 30s?

Lifestyle & Hobby 0 Comment

By the time you get to your 30s, you may have got it all figured out in life. All that remains is you keep things stable or continue to improve it. Stagnancy is the worst thing you could do. This especially applies to your health. Working out in your 30s isn’t a hobby when you have extra time, it’s a must. Why is that?

The Problems

Metabolism Rate Drops. Remember when you were in your teen and you ate a sandwiches, a truckload of ice cream and toppings and you barely added a pound? Or when you were in your 20s and the scale barely moved even though you ate fast food regularly? Don’t expect to be as lucky now that you’re in your 30s.

Your metabolism slows down during this time and you have the tendency keep the weight that’s added. That means it will also be more difficult to lose the pounds.

Lean Muscles Decrease. As your metabolism slows and the amount of fat in your body increases, your lean muscles take a downward trend. This is especially true if you do not have much exercise.

The Fix

As sad as a slowed bodily function is, it’s not too late to jumpstart your metabolism. Exercise and increased activity can help you jack up your metabolism.

Circuit training, for instance, which involves high-intensity training can get your blood pumping and your muscles grooving. Running is another exercise which can increase your metabolism. Aerobic exercise aka cardio, is generally a good way to increase your metabolism. Whether you go for running or circuit training, do remember to wear the right shoes. The correct footwear will increase your performance and protect you from injuries.

If you’re too busy to leave home. Jumping rope, squat thrusts, planks and jogging place can do wonders. But remember to do them at least 4-5 times a week for 30 minutes or more.

You’re be surprised how a simple exercise routine can keep you fit despite being in your 30s. And yes, it’s a good preparation to remain fit even if you reach your 40s, 50s or even 60s.
