Ministry of Public Health in Qatar Issues Warning Against Consuming Teff Flour Cracker

The Ministry of Public Health warned against teff flour crackers products, expiration dates: 30 July, 17 October, and 27 October 2023. The MOPH also warned against consuming Schalr Knusperprot Dunkel crackers, product origin of Spain, expiration dates: 2, 3, 4, 6 March and 4 April 2024 due to suspected contamination with “Atropine and scopolamine” in higher levels than allowed.

The MOPH stated that a notification has been received about the previous mentioned products from the European Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF). The Ministry of Public Health has taken the necessary measures regarding this matter as it issued a circular for suppliers to collect and withdraw these products from the market immediately.

The MOPH calls upon consumers, in case of having the mentioned products, to dispose them or return them to the outlets where they bought from.
