In 2008, King of Qatar approved the Qatar National Vision 2030 in decision No.44. It’s main aim is to transform Qatar as developed country and getting sustainable growth and guarantying high standard for living for present generation as well as future”.

What does Qatar National Vision 2030 address?

The National Vision addresses five major challenges:

Modernisation and preservation of traditions
The needs of the current generation and of future generations
Managed growth and uncontrolled expansion
The size and quality of the expatriate labour force and the selected path of development
Economic growth, social development, and environmental management

Qatar’s National Vision aims to make Qatar an advanced society capable of sustaining its development and providing a high standard of living to its citizens by 2030. Qatar’s National Vision identifies the long-term goals for the country and provides a framework for the formulation of national strategies and implementation plans.

The pillars of Qatar National Vision 2030

Qatar National Vision 2030 forces development through these four pillars:

1. Human Development

Human development aims to achieve development of the people by providing them with world class education, best of healthcare system that can provide both physically and mental health, and a motivated workforce which can develop and safeguard the labours.

Social development aims to create a fair society that not only participate in maintaining moral and religious values but also focus on developing an active civil society, social institutions and also play a major role in international community and cooperation.

3. Economic Development

Economic development aims to develop such a world class economy for Qatar that secures high standard of living for people and future generations. In order to achieve this, there’s need for economic management, economic diversification and responsible exploitation of oil gas.

4. Environment Development

Environmental development aims to create a balance between the developmental needs and environmental protection. To create an aware population, legal systems and environment institutions that values the preservation of environment and balance the process of development with this.
