Al Qarma Beach Garden
Al Qarma Beach Garden in Qatar, which is a beachfront park that is exclusively for women and children under 10 years old. The park opened in 2018 and is located on the east coast of Al Khor City.
The Al Qarma Beach Garden features both greenery and a clean beach, making it a unique destination in the municipality. However, it’s important to note that there are certain rules and regulations in place to ensure the safety and enjoyment of visitors. For example, signage at the entrance prohibits activities such as barbequing, bringing pets, and playing football inside the park.
Inside the park, you’ll find an arrangement of trees and plants, playgrounds for kids, wooden umbrellas offering shade along with seashore, walking paths, benches, and solar-powered lighting.
- Location: The Al Qarma Beach Garden is located in Al Khor City, which is about 50 kilometers north of the capital city of Doha.

- Activities: While barbeques, pets, and football are not allowed inside the park, visitors can still enjoy swimming in the sea or relaxing on the beach. There are also some water sports activities available nearby, such as jet skiing and parasailing.
- Entry fees: There is an entry fee to access the Al Qarma Beach Garden, which is QAR 100 per person for adults and QAR 50 per child (between 4 to 10 years old). Children under 4 years old can enter for free.
- Opening hours: The park is open every day from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. However, it’s worth noting that the opening hours may be subject to change, so it’s best to check with the park’s management before visiting.

Al Shu’aa Reserve
Al Shu’aa Reserve. It sounds like a lovely family-friendly nature reserve situated around one kilometer south of Al Qarma Beach Garden. The reserve is home to various types of trees and animals, including ducks, tortoises, geese, ostriches, pigeons, goats, rabbits, and Arabian Oryx.
One of the unique features of Al Shu’aa Reserve is that children can interact with some of the animals, which can be a fun and educational experience for them. It’s important to note, however, that visitors are expected to respect the animals and their habitats, and to follow any rules or regulations in place to ensure their safety and well-being.
The family park also has many benches, shaded sitting areas, solar-powered lighting and green spaces. There are a lot of playgrounds for kids inside as well.

- Opening hours: Al Shu’aa Reserve is open every day from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, except for Fridays when it opens at 2:00 PM.
