As we all know that Katara Beach is one of Doha’s most gorgeous beaches and traverses over 1.5km. The beach is located in Katara Cultural Village. Water Activities at Katara Beach
The beach provides various water activities. These activities are simple to access and very much affordable. You can access the equipment on a rental basis and access the service of knee-boarding, water skiing, parasailing, jet-skiing, speed boat rides, Gondola rides, and many more.
Motorized activities
Katara Beach provides amazing adrenaline-pumping activities. It’s a breathtaking activity and a must-try for those who want to take a view from above. They will strapped you with a parachute and float in the sky as a motorboat lures you with. You can go as high as 600ft and float for a maximum of 10 minutes.
Non-motorized activities
They provide a boat ride in the popular Italian Gondola at Gate 12 every day from 4 pm to 10 pm. However, the boat ride on the water of Katara is so alleviated and adventuresome. You can also hire a sea pedal boat, a kayak, or a canoe.
50% Discount on water sports activities
The beach has cut prices for all of its water sports and activities by 50% with entry charges being QR10 for grown-ups and free for children under 18years.
Children’s play area
Apart from the swimming, splashing there is a huge exclusive play area for children where they can have fun. They provide various types of games and fun activities for them.

Dress Code
Katara beach has its own dress code which must have to be followed. They prefer modest dressing. Check the below images to know the dress code at the beach.
Safety tips
- Activities depend on the weather
- Below 16 years children must be with an adult
- Below 12 years children are only allowed to do parasailing with an adult
- Below 14 years children are only permitted to do water ski, wakeboard, kneeboard, or ride the banana boat if they are with an adult
- Below 18 years children are only permitted to ride the sea breachers if they are with an adult
- The life jacket is compulsory to wear for all water activities
- Require to finish and sign the disclaimer form given by the rental cabin
- Skateboarding, rollerblading, bicycle riding, and scooters are prohibited on Katara Beach.
Timings
The tickets for water sports have to be bought 30 minutes before the sunset.

Membership
The one-person membership can cost you QR 500 per month. Through the membership, you can enjoy all the water activities, swimming, and all other activities at the beach. You can visit the kiosk at Katara Beach for membership.
Club
The Katara Beach Club b LivNordic Spa & Wellness spread over 4,500 square meters. They have two floors one for men and the other for women. The club is popular for its holistic treatments, saunas, salt rooms, signature snot room, the LivNordic Spa Suite, and relaxation areas. The beach also provides an indoor pool, gym & fitness studios, cafe, and juice bar with a private beach.
