Flynas inaugurated its latest Operations Center at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madina, marking a momentous occasion for the national airline and the foremost low-cost carrier in the Middle East and globally. To commemorate this event, six new destinations, comprising four international locations (Dubai, Amman, Istanbul, and Ankara) and two domestic ones (Abha and Tabuk), have been introduced. These additions join the existing routes from Madina to Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, and Cairo, bringing the total Flynas destinations served by the new Medina Airport center to 10.
The establishment of the Madina Operations Center positions Flynas as the national airline of the Kingdom, boasting a network of four operations centers. This aligns with the airline’s strategic plans for growth and expansion, supporting the Pilgrims Service Program’s objectives and the National Civil Aviation Strategy’s vision to link the Kingdom with 250 international destinations, cater to 330 million travelers, and attract 100 million tourists annually by 2030.
Bandar Al-Muhanna, CEO and Managing Director of Flynas, highlighted that the center’s opening responds to the escalating number of travelers to Madina, particularly Umrah and pilgrims from various countries, and reflects the preferences of domestic travelers. This development anticipates an increase in both international and domestic destinations and routes.
In under two years, Flynas has remarkably doubled its fleet size, now serving 10 destinations from its newly inaugurated operations center. The airline’s growth and expansion plan, embodied by the slogan “Connecting the World,” has been further emphasized by key events, such as the agreement with Airbus to acquire 30 new A320neo planes last June, part of a larger order for 120 Airbus planes, with approvals to increase new aircraft orders to 250 planes.
Operating more than 1,500 flights weekly to over 70 domestic and foreign destinations, Flynas, established in 2007, has transported over 60 million passengers. Aligned with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, the airline aspires to reach 165 domestic and international destinations.
