How to renew your Hamad Health Card in Qatar?

How to Renew your Health Card in Qatar

In Qatar, both citizens and residents can access government clinics and hospitals to receive healthcare services at a significantly subsidized rate. These subsidized services are made available through the government-issued Health Card, which is commonly known as the Hamad Card. The Hamad Card is named after the Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) and provides a gateway to accessing affordable healthcare services in the country.

With a Hamad Health Card, individuals can access subsidized consultations and prescriptions from government clinics and hospitals. Although non-emergency treatments or consultations may require additional fees, they will be subsidized for individuals with valid health cards. Additionally, holders of the health card can avail themselves of subsidized prescription drugs at government-run pharmacies.

Applying for a Health Card is encouraged for individuals with private medical insurance in case they need to access government facilities.

Below is a detailed guide to obtaining a Hamad Health Card in Qatar, presented in a step-by-step format.
