Post Office Plaza Park: 5 things you must see

If one is talking about Qatar’s parks, how can we forget newest park here- the Post Office Plaza! This park is located within Doha municipality, at West Bay. Here we are giving you all the details so that you can have an amazing time there.

The striking green carpet & interconnecting postage stamp design

The beautiful green space is the first thing you will see when you visit here. Plaza has such a beautiful design that is inspired by Qatari postage stamps. It is designed in such a unique way that three interconnected postal stamps form the open spaces. There is also sufficient seating area and other facilities.

JEDARIART murals

You can find some amazing street art here as there are two marvellous creations that are created as part of the JEDARIART initiative by Qatar Museums, in partnership with multiple organizations. This initiative is aimed to bring colour to the city walls. These creations are created with unique artworks from different artists in Qatar. You can also find works of artists Maryam Al Maadhadi and Fatima Al Sharshani at this park.

Cycling, jogging track and walkway

The park has a well-laid, two-lane cycling track that is present around the circumference of the park. If you are a fitness enthusiast then there is perfect walking and jogging tracks are waiting for you. These tracks go around the Post Office Plaza. There is also a mini gym area but it has not opened yet.

Squiggly lawns and little hiking area

There is also a mini hill and squiggly shaped grass areas at the centre of the park. Kids can do activities like running and climbing here. You can get a top view of the plaza from here and might get to see the interconnected stamps.

Perfect spot to take sunset and skyline photos

If you love capturing photos then you can take photos of tall buildings, beautiful landscape and the Qatar Post building and also don’t forget to capture the beautiful sunset at the evening.

Where to park your car?

You can park your vehicles at the parking space of the Qatar Post building. You will also get special needs Friendly Park with ramps and dedicated parking spaces connected to the plaza.
