UAE Visa requirements of US citizens

There is no need to have a visa to visit the UAE if you are an American citizen. But don’t forget to fulfill the following criteria:

  1. The bearer’s original passport should not expire within six months of the anticipated time of arrival in the United Arab Emirates.
  2. Confirmed round-trip tickets or tickets to another place for travel. 

Americans can stay in the UAE for 1 month and can obtain visas at the airports upon arrival. The immigration officer at the airport or the regional immigration office in the UAE must be contacted and an application must be submitted if you intend to remain longer.

UAE Visa requirements for Non-US citizens

Your original passport, must not expire within 6 months of the anticipated date of arrival in the United Arab Emirates.

If you are a national of Andorra, Australia, Bahrain, Belgium, Bulgaria, Brunei, Canada, China, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Kuwait, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Monaco, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Seychelles, Slovakia, Slovenia, Singapur.

The visas will be given to you at the airports in the United Arab Emirates. This also includes people who have entry stamps from other nations or visas on their passports that are good for a one-month stay in the UAE. The immigration officer at the airport or the regional immigration office in the UAE must be contacted, and an application must be submitted if you intend to remain longer.

American nationals are permitted a one-month stay in the UAE and can obtain visas at the airports upon arrival. However, if you plan to stay longer, you must make arrangements with the immigration officer at the airport or the local immigration office in the United Arab Emirates and apply for the same.

UAE Visa requirements for GCC citizens

There is no need for a visa to visit the UAE if you are a citizen of the Gulf Cooperation Council. However, All UAE airports offer a 30-day non-renewable visa upon arrival to GCC residents who are not national citizens but are employed as high-level officials, such as doctors, managers, engineers, or public sector workers, along with their families.

Visa requirements for other nationalities

All other visitors must first apply for a visa to enter the country. Through their national embassy, a nearby UAE sponsor, or even a nearby hotel in the UAE, they can do this.

Sponsors

The travelers must first make a reservation before they can obtain a tourist visa, which is valid for 30 days, a service visa, which is valid for 14 days, or even a visit visa from a hotel or travel agency. The next step is for them to deliver a copy of their passport and other necessary documents, along with their itinerary and arrival date, to the hotel or travel agency. When the visa is ready, the hotel or the relevant organization will fax it to you.

You can apply for a visit visa on behalf of other people or organizations that are based in or currently reside in the UAE. If you intend to work in the UAE, your employer or sponsor can also apply for a work visa on your behalf.

On behalf of their crew members, airlines and airline handlers may apply for a 96-hour transit visa.

Only service visa or visit visa applications from other UAE companies are accepted.

Types of Dubai Visas

Dubai Visit Visa

Visitors who intend to stay in the UAE for an extended period, as well as those traveling for family or business, can apply for visit visas. These have a 30-day or 90-day validity period. The two visas are not extendable. In addition to the visa payments, the local sponsor, family, or resident must pay a deposit that will be returned after the holder of the visit visa has left the country.

UAE Tourist Visa

A specific sort of visit visa called a “tourist visa” allows its bearer to stay for 30 days and is not extendable. A fine per day and additional fees for an exit pass must be paid by the tourist visa holder if their stay exceeds 30 days.

Dubai Multiple-entry Visa

Cruise ship passengers receive multiple-entry visas since their itinerary allows them to enter the country more than once during a single trip. These visas are additionally given to business travelers who frequently visit the UAE because of their connections with reputable local or multinational organizations. Visas with multiple entries have a six-month validity period starting from the date of issuance, and each stay is limited to 30 days. The visa cannot be renewed. The person must first get a Visit Visa to visit the UAE before applying for a Multiple-entry Visa.

Dubai Transit Visa

A 96-hour Transit Visa is available to passengers in transit who stop at an airport in the United Arab Emirates for at least 8 hours. You must have a valid onward ticket. The validity period for a passport and other travel documents should be at least three months.

  • Travel insurance
  • Copy of confirmed flight booking
  • Visa fee

Rules & conditions

  • Immigration authorization is required for entry into the UAE.
  • If the visa has been issued and used, the ticket is not refundable.
  • It takes three to four business days to process a visa.
  • Once paid, visa fees are not refundable.
