North of Qatar
Al Khor Beach

Al Dhakira Beach

Fuwairit Beach
Fuwairit Beach is known for its white sand and turquoise waters. It is widely considered as the best attraction in Qatar and is located north of Doha and takes around two hours to reach there. Also, this beach is home to the Hawksbill turtle and is known as a perfect place for swimming. Here, you can enjoy lots of water sports activities as well as beach volleyball.
This beach is almost always empty, and it has white sand and turquoise waters. Because there are few stores near Doha and restaurants are few and far between, you will need to bring your supplies. Simaisma Beach
This beach is located just 20 minutes away from Doha and is a perfect tourist destination. It is not much crowded and has lots of facilities for every age group. There are many mosques and shops nearby so you can even shop here as well. You can enjoy beach barbecues with your family in Simaisma, and enjoy quality time with your friends!
Maroona Beach
The southernmost beach of Fuwairit is Maroona. This beach is also known as French Beach. It’s unclear why, though. Comment if you know!
Farkeh Beach
This beautiful beach is located east of Al Khor Beach and is a family place to be. For every age group, this beach has something exciting. There are kids play zones and sports activities for elders to have fun.
Al Ghariya Beach
This beach is situated in Madinat Ash Shamal which is around 10 km from Fuwairit Beach in the north of Doha city. one of the cleanest beaches in Qatar, you can enjoy swimming here as well as head for a desert camp. A lot of water sports activities are available here such as Jet Ski, fishing, swimming, etc.
West of Qatar
Zekreet Beach
One of the few beaches in the world which has rock formations, you can find Richard Serra’s art piece located near Zekreet Beach. The water here has a clear blue color and is an excellent destination for camping. You can reach here in one hour from Doha and is home to some ancient settlements and prehistoric sites as well.
Umm Bab
Located in the municipality of Al Rayyan, Umm Bab is also known as Palm Tree Beach. A small cluster of palm trees makes it known as Palm Tree beach. Al Jemailya used to be a part of Al Rayyan before the municipality was incorporated into Al Jemailya.
Dukhan Beach
In the western part of Qatar, Dukhan Beach is a popular beach for families and those who want to barbecue. There are restrooms, BBQ pits, a pagoda, and shower facilities.
South of Qatar
Al Wakrah Beach
Al Wakrah Beach is situated at the Al Wakrah beach which is situated 10km south of Doha and the beach is about 15 km southeast of the village center. The beach is widely known for its golden sands as well as fun activities being conducted there.
Those who aren’t with their families are not allowed to enter Wakrah’s designated family area. Several stores and restaurants are located nearby, so it’s easy to grab supplies en route. Doha is a 25- to 30-minute drive away.
Inland Sea
This beautiful beach is situated near the border with Saudi Arabia and to get here, you have to travel through the sand dunes with no road connections. But any difficulty in reaching here will get smoothen up once you reach there as it is a fantastic spot for camping and fishing. The sea here is home to coral reefs and side-mount and technical diving is largely done here.
Fishermen and campers enjoy the inland sea during the winter season. Sealine Beach is 30 minutes away. If you’re not familiar with dune driving, you shouldn’t attempt to navigate by yourself. Although, the scenery and cleanliness of the beach make it well worth it. The drive takes 2 and a half hours in total.
Sealine Beach (Mesaieed)
One of the most popular beaches in Qatar is Sealine Beach. ATV riding and dune bashing at the nearby dunes are popular activities in addition to swimming.
Doha
Katara Beach
Katara Beach, which is part of Katara Cultural Village, is the closest family beach to Doha. A variety of water sports activities (such as a Gondola and pedal boat) are available for children in the children’s play area.
