 In Qatar, you can find Asian ingredients at many popular supermarkets/hypermarket chains. There are also smaller Asian specialty stores and grocery shops in Qatar where you can find products and meals you can’t find in larger establishments. Take a look at these stores! 

Amana Puregold

Al Sadd’s Amana Puregold store is a Filipino grocery store with a large selection of Filipino and local products. They also sell popular Philippine products such as clothing and beauty products. Aside from milkfish, smoked cassava, banana blossom, glutinous rice balls, pepper leaves, native cakes, and BongBong’s products, you can also find calamansi, salted eggs, and ready-to-eat items.

Jakarta Supermarket

Jakarta Supermarket, located in Matar Qadeem, stocks ingredients such as Asam Kandis, Bengkuang fruit, black glutinous rice, black jelly, dog fruit, coconut leaf, Kencur, Melinjo, palm fruit, tuberose flower, and pandan leaf.

Retailers at KWIQ Supermarket also sell goods from other Southeast Asian countries. KWIQ now sells Musang King and Sultan Durians in Qatar’s south. Tempe, Royco, Sasa, Indofood, Sosro, Sosro products, and gula Merah are also available.

Qatindo-Qatar Indonesia Supermarket

Qatindo (Qatar-Indonesia) Supermarket is one of the shops that you can go to if you’re planning to cook Indonesian or Malaysian meals. Ingredients include candlenut, banana leaf, jackfruit, galangal, turmeric leaf, lemongrass, mangosteen, snake fruit, kecap manis, and more. Additionally, they do home deliveries across Qatar via WhatsApp.

The Philippine Store

Al Sadd’s Philippine Store offers a range of Pinoy groceries and food. During the season, fruit such as mangosteens, carabao mangoes, calamansi, saba, and santol is regularly fetched by air cargo. Furthermore, the store carries dried taro leaves, ube powder, dried bilimbi, and dried fruits.

Vision Mart

Vision Mart has a wide selection of Korean and Japanese food items, including a variety of chilled items, confectionery, snacks, drinks, cooking ingredients, dry products, frozen items, ready-to-eat foods, and even Kimbap. There are plenty of BTS products available at Vision Mart, including posters, postcards, magazines, and even cold brew coffee.

Yellow River Supermarket
