The United Arab Emirates has taken the initiative to push federal employees to a 4.5 day work week beginning from 1st January 2022. From starting the New Year all the government commodities in UAE will start working in the same schedule of 4.5 working days, being Friday a half-day till noon and Saturday- Sunday as week offs every week.

This week off and change in working hours will help UAE employees and residents get a better balance between work and family life. With this initiative, UAE has become the very first country in the globe to introduce a national working week, which is briefer than the global five-day week.
