The brand-new structure for Qatar’s arts and culture programming was unveiled this morning at M7 in Msheireb. Qatar Creates will now be a year-round national cultural movement, accessible to both domestic and foreign audiences. With an unprecedented calendar of high-profile events, exhibitions, live shows, and openings all focused on the start of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM and beyond, Qatar Creates will now be the all-encompassing vehicle that assists, encourage, and commemorate the diversity of cultural activities in Qatar.
New format in Qatar Creates
Her Highness Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chairperson of Qatar Museums and the Doha Film Institute and Co-Chair of Fashion Trust Arabia, made the first official announcements of Qatar Creates and an overview of Qatar’s cultural offerings for autumn 2022 today.
What to Expect?
With 17 exhibitions spread over five museums and five creative hubs, ten high-profile events, three live festivals, 15 Qatar Creates lounges, and more than 80 public art installations nationwide, the exceptional autumn program is unlike anything else.
As the World Cup countdown intensifies, Her Highness Sheikha Al Mayassa said, “We are delighted to share a picture of autumn 2022 in Doha, when the calendar will be bursting with museum displays, pre-eminent fashion events, breath-taking music and theatre experiences, and flabbergasting previews of the thrilling cultural future that Qatar is building today.”
Launch of the ‘One Pass’
In its updated version, Qatar Creates is a steadfast cultural initiative that collects, champions, and celebrates the variety of cultural pursuits in Qatar. Qatar Creates has introduced its new One Pass, an online portal that provides a one-stop resource for all of Qatar’s cultural offerings, to give residents and visitors an unrivalled opportunity to immerse themselves and fully experience the myriad cultures, leisure, and entertainment offerings across the country.
What the “One Pass” grants you to do
The perks of the tiered-level ticket include front-of-line access, free entrance to all museums, and discounts at nearby businesses, restaurants, and entertainment venues. A daily event bulletin and access to an online portal with information on events taking place in Doha during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM will also be provided to pass holders.
