The holiday, which takes place on the first of Shawwal after Ramadan in the Hijri calendar, will be the first long weekend of 2023. It will probably be from Thursday, April 20 to Sunday, April 23.
Ramadan started in the Emirates on Thursday, March 23rd. Islamic months can be 29 or 30 days long, depending on when the moon is seen. This year, Ramadan is expected to last for 29 days based on astronomical calculations.

According to local media outlets, the long weekend in Kuwait is expected to start on Friday, April 21 and continue until Sunday, April 23.
Oman – Eid Al Fitr Holidays
As per local media outlets, the first day of Eid Al Fitr is expected to be on Saturday, April 22 in Oman, and residents are looking forward to a nine-day break. The country now offers the same number of holidays to both government and private sector employees, with long breaks helping to boost local tourism.
Qatar – Eid Al Fitr Holidays
Eid celebrations in Qatar are expected to start on Friday, April 21, and holidays are likely to be from Sunday, April 23, to Tuesday, April 25.
Saudi Arabia – Eid Al Fitr Holidays
According to a tweet from the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA), Eid Al Fitr in Saudi Arabia will start at the end of the working day on Monday, April 17, and it will end on Tuesday, April 25. People are expected to resume work from that day.
