How to Renew Kuwait's Civil ID?

Every citizen and ex-patriates of Kuwait under the age of 18 needs to have their IDs. They can do it via an online application with the help of their guardian. Similarly, individuals above 18 can apply it via phone calls or online applications.

Eligibility

Each individual over the age of 10 but less than 18 years can file an ID renewal application over the phone or through an online application.

Individuals who are above 18 can file ID renewal requests for an on-call or online application. You can also check your civil ID status before applying for a new ID.

Required Documents

A photocopy of the Kuwaiti Nationality Certificate
A scanned copy of the first & last page of the National Certificate must be uploaded to the online submission form.
New colored passport (4*6cm) sie photo.
Photo without eyeglasses.
Transparent photo’s background.
Original Kuwaiti civil ID and old civil ID for Kuwaiti ex-patriates
Empty envelope
An application must have power of attorney from the Ministry of Justice if the proposal does not present physically.

The Procedure of ID Renewal for Kuwait Citizens

Visit the Public Authority of Civil Information Headquarters at Zahra in person and apply for the renewal. You can also apply online through their official website.
You need to provide your current photo if you are in the age group of 10 to18.
Fill out the entire application.
Submit entire dues.
Wait for your ID to be prepared and gather it from the Civil Information Headquarters reception hall, Zahra.

To renew your ID dial 889988.
Type 1 for Arabic & 2 for English.
Choose the preferred option for the voice list.

Via Online

Open the Civil ID renewal website
Fill in the required details.
Follow the aabove-mentioned instructions.
You will receive the confirmation message when your application submission.
Now you can collect your renewal Civil ID from the office of the Public Authority of Civil Information Headquarters.
