Qatar's attractions for 2022

New Year should bring new experiences and happiness to our lives. Hence we have come up with a few attractions points in Qatar which you must visit for a different experience. Let’s check out the places.

Place Vendome

Lusail City’s Place Vendome, built on a seafront with a canal running through it, is set to open in February 2022. The mall will provide a variety of interesting entertainment and shopping choices, local and international cuisine overlooking the water, and a relaxed movie experience for residents and visitors alike.

Doha Winter Wonderland

Doha Winter Wonderland is located on Al Maha Island in Lusail City. There are six different gaming areas with over fifty world-class games for all ages. It also has a beach club, family chalets, a public area for parties and events, a sports area, restaurants, and cafes, as well as a walkway and a huge parking lot.

Al Tarfa & Al Maha Island

Located in Lusail City, Al Tarfa will provide recreation and leisure activities, retail therapy, and fine dining experiences. A major museum, a park, luxury hotels, a fitness center, and a cinema multiplex will also be built, as well as residential and office spaces, hotels, theme parks, theaters, and beaches with public and private entrances.

Katara Towers

From a distance, Katara Towers may look like a crescent, but the design is inspired by the scimitar (curved blade) swords that form part of Qatar’s national emblem (coat of arms). It will be Qatar’s first six-star hotel, as well as a luxury five-star hotel. Luxury apartments, restaurants, and offices will also be included.

Gewan Island

It stretches over 400,000 square meters and is located next to The Pearl - Qatar. By 2022, the project will include 659 residential units, including 20 villas, a private beach, and 21 luxury villas on beaches. The project also includes a golf course, a 5-star hotel, a beach club, an air-conditioned walkway, a seaside promenade, and parks here!

Printemps Doha

Printemps, a French avant-garde luxury brand, will open a store in the Doha Oasis in 2022. The 40,000 square meter luxury retailer will feature three podium levels and two floors, 40 premier and exclusive retail outlets, and 14 unique dining options.

Katara Children’s Mall

Its unique design makes the Children’s Mall easily recognizable from afar as it looks like a giant red package wrapped in golden wrapping paper. Katara’s newest attraction is sure to be a star attraction this year.

As its name suggests, the mall will provide children’s entertainment and education needs. Children will also have access to a children’s salon, kids perfumery, kids accessories, a large candy store, and several handicrafts stations.

Dadu Garden

In accordance with Qatar Museums, the Dadu Garden will include an outdoor kitchen, a community garden, and a permaculture garden by October 2022. There will be an amphitheater, playgrounds, picnic areas, and water features on the grounds.

Energy Playground at NMOQ

By 2022, the National Museum of Qatar (NMoQ) will have a new playground called the Energy Playground, sponsored by Total E&P Qatar. In this unique park, families will learn about oil exploration history in Qatar and more about energy. Visitors can choose their own adventures to learn more about renewable and nonrenewable energy sources.

3-2-1 Qatar Olympic & Sports Museum

This year’s 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum will pay tribute to sports in Qatar and beyond. Located next to the Khalifa International Stadium, this museum will house a number of awe-inspiring interactive exhibitions, inspiring objects, and unique activities. Furthermore, it will explore Qatar’s origins, growth, and relevance as a nation of sports.

The Plaza Doha by Anantara

It will feature 228 rooms and suites, rooftop and indoor swimming pools, a spa and fitness center, meeting rooms, a ballroom, and multiple dining options in 2022. Designed in a fusion of Parisian and Arabian styles, from the courtyard atrium to the marble interiors and glass chandeliers, this 5-star hotel oozes luxury at every turn.

West Bay North Beach Project

Located 10 minutes from West Bay Metro Station, the West Bay North Project will become one of Qatar’s most unique entertainment destinations. This project consists of a public beach and 12 private beaches spread over an area of 60,200 square meters. From August 2022, pedestrian paths, cafes, play areas, parking spaces for cars and bicycles, and tracks for running and sports will be available.

Doha Corniche Development & Plazas

Ashghal Qatar plans to include a separate pathway for cycling and jogging on the Corniche. Along Airport Road and Ras Bu Abboud, the walkway will connect to similar tracks extending to the Lusail Expressway. Al Dafna, Al Corniche, and Al Bidaa pedestrian tunnels are also being constructed to improve pedestrian mobility and connect commuters to the surrounding areas. As part of the project, three plazas will also be constructed on the Corniche - Al Dafna, Al Corniche, and Al Bidda - that will serve as open exhibition spaces.
